Maturity Assessment

What is a maturity assessment?

đź““

A maturity assessment is a structured evaluation that measures an organization's capabilities and processes against predefined criteria.

Why is it necessary?

This maturity assessment was created to help users clarify MLOps principles and practices, and to highlight areas of development for each component of the pipeline regarding the extent to which it’s automated. This assessment can be used as a metric for establishing the requirements needed to measure the maturity of an ML production environment (Microsoft), as an example.

DC’s maturity assessment in particular guides users to consider the maturity of their business and AI strategy, their model’s documentation, and model lifecycle management and governance in addition to the viability of each component of their architecture. For more detail on the components, please refer to the Home page

Who needs this maturity assessment?

Any organisation who has an AI/ML PoC, or is directly involved in the deployment and optimisation of an AI/ML model, and is looking to deploy their model(s) in production.

Who doesn’t need this assessment?

Disclaimer: this assessment doesn’t necessarily cover GenAI/LLMs at this point.
